We often describe the mission of our Center as “building an ecosystem of faith”. Through educational, formative and publishing activities we reach people throughout Poland and beyond, helping them discover the beauty and potential of the Church’s Tradition, and especially the life-giving power of the sacraments.
We believe, however, that it is not enough to speak and write about the liturgy – as a local Kraków community of people involved in liturgical formation, we also want to pray the liturgy together and be shaped by it, so that all our work flows from this divine-human act.
We invite you to Sunday Mass at St. Giles’. Every Sunday from October to June at 5 p.m., in this small Dominican church at the foot of Wawel Hill, we want to celebrate the Eucharist for the friends and supporters of the Dominican Liturgical Center and for everyone who cares about the beauty of the liturgy.
We will pray there by singing the Gregorian propers and polyphony – both the polyphony known from the Niepojęta Trójco songbook and more ambitious works written by composers over the centuries.
The modest size of St. Giles’ Church has a positive effect on the experience of the celebrating community as a true community. The liturgy at St. Giles’ is of course open to everyone, but we hope that in time we will get to know one another and feel at home.
In this home built by the sacred liturgy, catechumens and candidates for Confirmation will have a special place – participants in the programme preparing adults for the sacraments of initiation will be invited to this Mass, and the rites of the catechumenate will be celebrated during it.
The celebrants of the Mass at St. Giles’ are friars of the Dominican Liturgical Center: Łukasz Miśko OP and Wojciech Sznyk OP. We invite you to take part without obligation, but also to help shape this liturgy by getting involved in liturgical ministries: the schola, altar serving, reading (if you are interested, please contact Michał Wsiołkowski).
